WNPA Welcomes Four New Members
The WNPA is proud to welcome four new papers to its membership rolls. We believe strongly that the journalism ecosystem is stronger when we are all under one umbrella, advocating strongly for legislative recognition of the civic good a newspaper provides to its community, and working together to provide resources to publishers.

The WNPA Board of Directors approved four new members on February 3, 2026. Please join us in welcoming them to the association!
The Weekly Volcano (Tacoma) — Regular member. The Weekly Volcano covers arts, entertainment, food, and culture in the South Sound.
Tacoma Weekly — Regular member. The Tacoma Weekly covers local news and sports and, like the Weekly Volcano, is also edited by Angela Jossey.
Seattle Gay News — Associate member. SGN has served the LGBTQ+ community in the Puget Sound region since 1974.
La Voz — Regular member. La Voz serves Spanish-speaking communities. We're hopeful to recruit more Spanish language newspapers to join the ranks and provide worthy competition for La Voz for the Better Newspaper Contest.
