Meredith Jordan has been editor of the Port Townsend and Jefferson County Leader since March 2024, joining the legacy paper after decades as a journalist. In the mix was nearly 10 years covering the serious side of Hollywood, which culminated with the publication of the nonfiction narrative Top Gun Memos in 2023. In the background she worked on a project now known as the Public Alliance of Professional Journalists, which aims to restore respect for standards-based news media. Joining The Leader, and returning to community news where she began, has been a homecoming.
