Time for Action: How journalism can reclaim its professional status
The public no longer makes the distinction between standards-based journalism and the "media," which is virtually anyone, any place and anything (think A.I.) with a platform. Our keynote speaker argues journalists must do more to counter the prolonged attacks on the professional news industry before it’s too late. She makes the case that the Public Alliance of Professional Journalists, developed over several years by a small group of journalists and scholars, is a way to do. Jordan will discuss the dual-facing platform for professional journalists and the public. In this upbeat keynote you will feel inspired to take action and to take even more pride in community journalism.
