As a valued member of our Design Studio, the successful candidate will work directly with our daily and weekly newspaper editors to produce engaging news pages that represent and reflect the reporting from our local communities in Oregon and Washington.

Our designers have the freedom to implement ideas and are empowered to take ownership of the news products they produce. A qualified candidate will show a passion for journalism, design, and collaboration, and must be able to work in a deadline oriented environment. Experience with professional newspaper and/or magazine page layout is required, while copy editing and graphic design are preferred qualifications.

Sound Publishing, Inc., Washington’s largest newspaper publisher has several full-time job openings at our Printing Facility in Everett, WA. 


We are seeking qualified press operators who have experience printing on single width web presses. Demonstrated experience in press make ready, ink setting, quality checking and basic crew maintenance a must. Must have a minimum of five years printing experience. Hourly Wage: $20-$24 based on experience.

Entry Level General Workers needed to jog/stack product as it comes off the press. Must be able to stand for entire shift and lift 50 lbs. repetitively. Basic math skills a must. Hourly Wage: $12.


We are seeking qualified insert machine operators. Positions require mechanical aptitude as well as the ability to set-up and run Muller and Goss inserting equipment. Familiarity with Kansa and Barstrom labelers and Muller stitching and trimming machines a plus. Position is Mid-shift: Tues – Fri (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.) & Sat (6 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.) Hourly Wage: $12.50.
